Deadline to submit local bills to the Broward Legislative Delegation

The Broward Legislative Delegation conducted a Local Bill Workshop on August 24, 2017. The workshop provided information on the filing process for local bills and voluntary annexations. The deadline to submit local bills to the Delegation is Friday, September 15, 2017. The filing deadline is January 9, 2018, the first day of the 2018 Florida Legislative Session.

Recently, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued new guidelines for religious attire and grooming in the workplace.  The guidelines serve as a helpful reminder to all employers that are covered by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII) the “dos and don’ts” regarding several categories of workplace behavior.
