Mr. Doody's practice encompasses the representation of clients in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Doody is Martindale-Hubbell peer review rated (AV) and divides his time between the firm's Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach offices.

In his representation of clients in the private sector, he has extensive experience in interstate commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, he represents financial institutions in commercial and residential loan transactions. Mr. Doody's practice also includes the representation of private clients before governmental bodies in matters of land use such as rezonings, variances, and special exceptions. Relative to litigation, he represents private clients involved in contractual disputes and landlord/tenant disputes.

Mr. Doody has over the course of several decades represented governmental entities such as municipalities, community redevelopment agencies, housing authorities and water control districts. In his capacity either as a city attorney or general counsel, he has the responsibility of addressing and resolving all facets of legal issues attendant to the day-to-day operation of a governmental entity. Furthermore, he represents governmental clients in both Federal and Florida State courts when the litigation involves constitutional issues, zoning issues and employee relations. The experience gained in the representation of private clients assists in his representation of municipalities, community redevelopment agencies and housing authorities when they are engaged in the purchasing or selling of real property for redevelopment purposes.
